I’m looking forward to the day when we say, “Aren’t we glad the pandemic is over?” Am I alone in this? Covid-19 affected all of our lives, even mine as a photographer. While I want everyone to be safe and will do what is necessary for that to happen, I am more than ready to get back to some sort of normal.

Taking pictures is normal for me, and I was more than ready to meet with this family whose session had been postponed because of the virus. We had a beautiful day to celebrate this girl turning one. Her smile is just the best. Take note of her shirt “I’m One derful”. Yes, sweet girl, you truly are!

They bring their dog here often for walks around the park. He is so gentle.

I love all the different faces she makes.

Then it was time for the cake smash. Some kids get really excited and dig right in. Others are more tentative and slowly approach the cake. She was the latter. I always have a hunch that you can tell a lot about a personality based on how the cake is eaten. 😊
