Soft, neutral, and timeless colors always photograph beautifully for newborn sessions. Think creams, whites, soft blues, muted pinks, tans, grays, and gentle earth tones.

The goal is for your clothing to complement your baby without distracting from the connection and sweetness of this season. Simple pieces, cozy textures, and outfits you feel comfortable in are always a good choice. Long, flowy dresses for mom are always a great choice. They are flattering and photograph beautifully.

I recommend booking your newborn session during your second trimester if possible. This allows us to get your due date on my calendar early, and once your baby arrives, we’ll choose the best session date based on his or her arrival.
Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first few days after coming home from the hospital, while your baby is still extra sleepy and snuggly. But don't worry, we can always adjust depending on how  labor and delivery went and adjusting to being home. Nothing is set in stone!

Newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home. Your house does not need to be perfect. I will guide you in how to set up one or two spaces.
