When preparing to meet your baby, you understand that the first year will not have enough sleep. From the family members at your baby shower to the random people in the grocery store, everybody wants to tell you that you’re about to become sleep-deprived. Still, nothing can fully prepare you for the actual experience. Getting no sleep day after day is maddening, and it can take a massive toll on your mental health. This is why I’m a huge fan of night nurses. These wonderful experts will handle the sleepless nights so you can be well-rested enough to be the best parent for your little one. If you’ve been looking for a night nurse in Columbus, Ohio, I’d love to give you a list of the best around!
Courtney Padgett, a Certified Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, started Courtneyitb. Courtney provides virtual care, postpartum help, and night nurse services. She’ll come to you and take over for the night so you can get the sleep you need.
She provides overnight care 3-5 nights a week and works 8-hour shifts to give you a solid night’s rest. She’ll either feed your baby and clean up the bottles or gently wake the parent who prefers to do the feeding. She can travel with families on vacation and will care for babies up to 16 weeks old.
The Baby Nurse Ohio is owned and operated by Amy Horner, a registered nurse with a bachelor’s in the field. Amy spent eight years working in the NICU and now uses those skills to help parents who need an extra hand. Amy is passionate about supporting parents during the postpartum season.
For her overnight nurse shifts, she works a minimum of 8 hours. She’ll take on light housework and chores, keep your baby fed and the bottles sanitized, and ensure you get the rest you need. She also provides lactation help as well as nonjudgmental emotional support.
Ohio Baby Co. is a postpartum service started by Kirsten Pitini and Caroline Nagy. Both women are experienced postpartum doulas who positively love helping families across Columbus adjust to the first few months of parenthood. They have a knack for bringing sunshine with them everywhere they go. They’ll come over to your house and take care of your little one so you can get some blessed sleep.
During this time, they’ll tackle laundry, dishes, feedings, and anything else you might need. You’ll wake up feeling refreshed with a fresh pot of coffee waiting for you. Kirsten and Caroline also provide daytime services and sleep coaching once it’s time to take your baby off the night shift.
Sleeplessness doesn’t have to rule your life after your baby is born. With any of these night nurses in Columbus, Ohio, you can get rest so you can actually enjoy the newborn phase.
