As much as I think I will always remember how my kids looked and felt when they were younger, whether it was a special holiday or just any ordinary day, I know I will forget. That is why I am grateful for all the pictures that tell the story of my family, how my husband feels when he hugs our daughter or the way we look at each other. I want our kids to have these heirlooms to pass down to their families as well. I want to freeze these moments with my kids, because they are fleeting and I don't want to forget.
When I see these images, I am temporarily transported to that day, that stage, that moment.
